Doctor of Laws, Piia Kaave, has joined the LEXSECURE project

In August 2022, Piia Kaave (Doctor of Laws) has joined the University of Lapland and the LEXSECURE project as a postdoctoral researcher. Kaave’s research interests lie in the fields of a proactive approach to law and legal design. In her doctoral thesis, Kaave focused on proactive contracting and contract design, specifically on standard form contracts. The aim was to find out whether the context of proactive contracting and contract design would enable the creation of new ways of thinking and acting that could enable businesses to turn the standard form contracting from safeguarding to user-centered contracting that better supports business and business relationships.
